Can I send an email without syncing my email inbox?

Yes, but it will not be tracked. You will have the ability to send an email from the profile of any person, deal or company. After clicking on the email address, you will be redirected to a compose email window in your own primary email client. 

You cannot send a campaign or trackable email from within Pipeline unless your email is synced.
